Normal Plate Irons
The normal irons are about 1" wide.
There are three versions of the normal width irons and they all look the same:
- C9-M1.0
- C9-M1.1
- C9-M1.2
They are all fitted with either 70ohm or 160ohm heaters. You cannot tell what heater resistance they use without taking the irons apart and checking!
The 1.0 and 1.1 models have a heater and thermal fuse wired in series on both sides. We sell a heater and thermal fuse combo suitable for these models:
The 1.2 model is the current model. Some of them have the heaters and thermal fuses in series like the 1.0 and 1.1 models (and therefore use the spare parts linked to above), however others have them separate, only have a thermal fuse on the switch side and only have one calibration variable resistor. If you have 1.2 model with a separate thermal fuse, then theses are the heater spare parts you need:
- Heater - 160ohm heater or 70ohm heater
- Thermal Fuse

This is the correct way round for the hinge spring:
On the switch side there is a screw hidden underneath the label (bottom arm on right in this photo):
Here is a C9 1.2 PCB that has a separate thermal fuse only on one side and a single calibration variable resistor:
